J Adams & Co. is seeking a sales and studio assistant to join its team in London.

J Adams & Co. is a luxury British lighting brand, showcasing craftsmanship, innovative engineering and authentic design made in Britain. Each product in our rapidly expanding collection is designed in-house and made by hand at our UK Birmingham factory using only the highest quality materials.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven sales and studio assistant to become an integral part of our small but fast-growing team, based at our Farringdon office and showroom.

Role and responsibilities:

• assist and support the sales manager in all aspects of sales operations
• answer initial customer enquiries via phone, email and social media platforms, and support them with information and advice
• welcome visitors and guests to the showroom
• proactively keep customers updated with the status of their order, and assist with after sales support
• create quotes and invoices using Xero
• process orders and create purchase orders to our factory
• manage the showroom calendar and showroom appointment bookings
• assist in the day to day running of the office/showroom space, ensuring it is well supplied and presentable
• assist in the creation of Instagram posts and newsletter emails using Mailchimp

The ideal candidate will:

• have proven experience in a similar role, preferably within design, lighting or luxury goods
• be extremely organised and show great attention to detail
• show initiative and be able to solve problems efficiently and independently
• have excellent customer service skills
• be an excellent communicator and collaborator
• be a team player happy to work in a small team and ‘muck in’ when necessary
• experience or a keen interest in digital marketing / social media marketing would be advantageous
• language skills – fluent English essential, additional languages a bonus
• IT skills – able to use Outlook/Word/Excel, experience using Xero or similar invoicing system
• experience using social media platforms – Instagram, Facebook, Linkedin and Pinterest advantageous

Salary dependent on experience.
