Salary: lecturer starting at £41,216 pa, senior lecturer starting at £47,183 pa (pro rata) inclusive of London weighting

The post holder is expected to provide technical and professional academic and professional expertise to the BSc, MArch architecture (ARB/RIBA Part 1 and Part 2) courses and assist the cluster lead and head of department in the day-to-day operational management of the course. S/he will help ensure that the department puts emphasis on, and actively practice our careers-led ethos and adopt an inter-disciplinary approach to educating the next generation of professional architects. Our students are therefore to be enabled to gain the latest knowledge, skills and attributes required by employers in the industrial 4.0 era. They will also take a leading role in technical academic delivery including technical studies including the integration of technical studies into studio teaching by a mixture of tutorials and workshops. The appointee will promote appropriate technical drawings, models and specifications in presentations and at tutorials with students and in relation to the aims of each design unit.
