Junior architect

Me Architects is seeking a junior architect to join its closed-knit international team of architects in Malta.
Me Architects is an architectural office founded by Perit Karl Ebejer in 2013, specialising in design and planning of residential and retail developments. We work across multiple sectors on a variety of exciting projects.
Our practice is encouraging creativity and innovation and work in a very friendly and vibrant environment.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated junior architect who is passionate about design, have a strong sense of aesthetics and have an excellent attention to detail. You will have the ability to work as part of a team, be goal-oriented and able to work on their own initiative.
Requirements:
- minimum of two years’ experience in an architectural office or design practice with residential background and post qualification
- fluent in English (written and spoken) with strong communication skills
- CAD drawing (ideally ArchiCAD)
- 3D visualisation (ideally SketchUp)
- Adobe Indesign and Photoshop
The ideal candidate should:
- be confident, organised and proactive
- have strong communication and design presentation skills
- have knowledge of products and materials
- work effectively by meeting deadlines
- have a strong work ethic
Duties and responsibilities:
- prepare concept and detailed design
- produce final package drawings that will accompany bills of quantities, to the level of detail required for both accurate tenders and site execution
- conducting site inspections
- ensure projects are delivered within the required timeframe, fee parameters and reporting.
- co-ordinate drawings between various consultants and suppliers and other members of the team within the office
