Barnes Design has an opportunity for an architectural designer to join its London practice.
Barnes Design is an architectural and interior design practice based in south west London with an ever increasing portfolio that varies from residential developments and restaurants to large commercial project/s. At our SW17 studio we are a dynamic, close knit ‘family’, so team players are essential. We offer a relaxed, creative environment, but will expect you to work hard and play hard!
We are currently looking for a passionate architectural designer. The candidate will be working directly with the architects/designers to develop, visualize and present various new projects. As a small company confident, enthusiastic and articulate candidates will be viewed favorably. Our ideal candidate would be able to demonstrate a creative drive, a passion for design and have basic knowledge of drawing and construction. No previous experience is required, as we hope we will be able to teach you everything you need to be part of the team.
The position offers great responsibility, design control, experience on site, and career progression. The competitive salary is dependent on experience of the candidate. Candidates should be living within London.
Preferred requirements of the candidates:
– recent architectural/design graduate or similar
– an awareness of current trends in architecture
– ability to work under pressure and as part of an energetic team
– based in London
– experience of developing and producing planning and construction packages from concept through to construction detailing and specification drawings
– be fluent in both spoken and written English
Software skills required:
– Autocad/Vectorworks
– Adobe Photoshop
– SketchUp
– Microsoft Office
