WorkPad is seeking an interior architect/designer to join its team in London.
Working for the chief operating officer, the interior design role provides a great opportunity for someone looking to develop and implement their interior design skills in the commercial sector. As a high-end provider of period serviced offices, the interior design position shall be tasked with leading design studies for potential projects, planning and producing new design concepts to fit brand, and project managed new properties into the WorkPad portfolio. The role will consist of working with the management team on leading feasibility studies for potential projects, planning and producing new design concepts to fit brand, and project management throughout, aiding delivery of the project in collaboration with the PM and external contractors.
Duties:
- lead new build and refurbishment projects
- produce design reviews by way of gathering and presenting information
- prepare and produce project briefing documents
- produce design and production information
- create space plans and aid feasibility studies for new and existing buildings
- undertake on-going research of furniture, products, finishes and materials
- FF&E selection
- documentation and pre-construction planning to illustrate design concept and confirm selection of products
- involvement during staging and closeout stages to insure design concept is maintained throughout the project requirements
- knowledge of building regulations, British standards and other relevant statutory legislation
- AutoCAD and Autodesk Revit and a good working knowledge of other project software
- excellent design and technical skills
- excellent hand-drawing skills
