Cross Works is seeking a GIS specialist to join its growing team in London.
We are on the lookout for a talented and experienced GIS specialist to join our team in London, currently working remotely (until further notice).

We’re a cross-disciplinary team, working on a range of projects across scales, sectors and regions globally; currently focussed on architectural, urban design and large-scale masterplanning and city-planning work.
The following knowledge and capabilities will be required in order to be shortlisted for interview:
- a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field at a minimum
- minimum of three years’ demonstrable professional work experience working in GIS, ideally in the built environment
- knowledge and experience in GIS work on large-scale/city planning projects
- expertise in the Esri platform / suite of software is an absolute must (ArcGIS)
- proficiency with GIS desktop software and data management
- ability to effectively configure data
- experience with various technology methodologies and applications
- detail-oriented and analytical thinker
- knowledge of multiple programming languages
- ability to process and analyse data
- ability to work to deadlines
- excellent verbal and written communication skills
Tasks/duties:
- design, develop, and implement systems and databases to access and store geospatial data, and standardize geographic data
- design digital maps using geospatial data and analyse spatial and non-spatial information
- use/interface with CAD tools and transfer data to GIS (Esri)
- perform geospatial modelling and spatial analysis
- create and launch mobile and online applications
- build, update and maintain databases and GIS software and hardware
- research and conduct tests on new tools
- administer and troubleshoot applications and GIS solutions
Bonus capabilities (non-essential):
- ability to use Esri CityEngine/spatial analyst is beneficial
- ability to use AutoDesk software (AutoCAD and Infraworks) is beneficial
Start date is immediate; however, notice periods will be considered in some cases.
Salary is competitive (dependent on experience and capabilities)
