Senior interior designer

K&H Design is looking for a talented and ambitious senior interior designer to join its London design studio.
The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate:
- considerable experience in the efficient and technical delivery of exceptional high-end residential projects

- a thorough knowledge and interest in the history of styles, period and contemporary detailing, and with that the experience of working on classical listed properties as well as new builds
K&H Design is a client-focused interior design studio, providing original and refined design solutions for beautiful homes in London, the countryside and across the world. Meticulous attention to detail and a thorough understanding of how people live are at the heart of all our projects. We collaborate with craftspeople and specialists to create elegant interiors that also work hard. Good communication with our clients and suppliers underpins all our work.
Remaining very involved with Katie and Henry, you will lead your own projects, and will have the support of our friendly and dynamic team. We actively encourage our designers to share knowledge and ideas and to work together for inspiration as well as problem solving.
We are looking for someone interested in developing their career with K&H Design over the long term.
Key responsibilities:
- leading and delivering projects on time, on budget and to the highest of standards
- keeping the design integrity of each project as it develops and executing it seamlessly
- management of teamwork flow and efficiency
- primary day to day relationship with the client and delivering exceptional client service
- collaboration with and growth of junior designers
- close internal communication with the directors and the finance manager
- close external communication with clients and the professional team
- maintaining and building close relationships with suppliers
- working closely with Katie and Henry for the continuous improvement and communication of practice standards
Skills:
- have a hands-on approach and a keen eye for detail
- great work ethic, extremely organised, with brilliant administrative skills
- ability to work well under pressure and meets deadlines

- strong project management skills
- understand process and pace, and being excellent at listening

- EstiMac
- hand drawing skills are not essential but will be very well received
Experience and qualifications:
- relevant degrees plus six years’ plus experience in high end residential design.
