Freelance interior CAD technician
at Hartmann Designs
Hartmann Designs is looking for a CAD technician to join its team in London.
Specialising in high end interior design, with experience in commercial interiors, you will work closely with our designers and company director. Although this is a remote working contract, you will be required to travel to our project sites in London and the home counties on occasion.
Requirements:
- minimum of three years’ experience in high end residential interior design
- knowledge of AutoCAD is essential, as you will be responsible for taking client approved concept drawings & producing detailed technical drawings for tender packages, including bespoke joinery drawings
- ability to work in a project environment, creating schedules of quantities, room schedules, door schedules, etc.
- ability to keep and maintain good quality records and follow procedures
- ability to manage time and priorities independently and deliver on tight deadlines
- good eye for detail, composition and an understanding of the full design process
- ability to attend meetings with contractors and suppliers and occasionally with clients
- the ability to undertake site surveys in preparation for technical drawing packages
- fluent written and spoken English
- excellent teamwork and communication skills, you will be required to liaise with the design team and contractors
Equipment/software:
- applicants should be equipped with their own laptop/PC
- applicant should be proficient in the following software: AutoCAD. Working knowledge of Vectorworks, SketchUp, Adobe Suite, MS Office 365 is an advantage

This is a freelance position; applicants should be self-employed and able to send invoices
Applicants must be prepared to travel to our project sites in London and the home counties as and when required
Daily rate: commensurate with experience
