Sheehan Nagle Hartray Associates is looking for a senior technical architect/architectural technologist to join its growing team in London.

Location: Sheehan Nagle Hartray Associates’ London office
This is a great opportunity for a senior architect or architectural technologist with extensive experience of technical design and construction stages of projects, either leading the team throughout RIBA stages 4 and 5 or working in a project audit role.
We are looking for an individual who can work with our talented architects and technical team to manage the technical design development and technical drawing packages, and to oversee the construction stage of large projects in the UK and abroad.
This role will also include the ability to audit and review drawing packages produced by other project teams, and to train and up-skill junior staff. The candidate will ideally have ten plus years’ of experience of stages 4 and 5, working on large and complex commercial or industrial projects, and will have experience of work with Revit and NBS Create or Chorus.
Responsibilities:
- liaise with client representatives and the consultant team to develop the project design to meet the client’s brief and create well-crafted architecture
- lead the internal team and oversee their work
- manage the development of the project design and the development of coordinated drawings and documentation using Revit and NBS Chorus
- lead project meetings and presentations, and contribute to client and design team meetings
- liaise with directors and the management team
- audit drawing packages for projects and contribute to technical workshops
Required skills:
- strong technical skills and understanding of building construction
- minimum ten years’ experience of technical job running with experience of larger projects
- experience of managing project teams producing technical drawing packages
- experience of developing projects and producing drawing packages using BIM software – good Revit skills an advantage
- experience of working with consultant teams and client representatives
- good organisational skills and ability to work to deadlines
- solid understanding of construction detailing
- detailed knowledge of building regulations in the UK or EU, and of UK and EN Standards
- experience of specification development using NBS chorus/create and the production of coordinated construction documentation
The position is open to UK-based applicants only, who have prior experience working in the architecture, engineering, or construction industry. The candidate should demonstrate excellent technical capability, plus possess great interpersonal and communication skills.
