Patalab is seeking a Part 2 architectural assistant to join its team in London.
The role
Patalab is looking for a highly motivated and talented Part 2 architectural assistant with strong interest in the residential and refurbishment sector. You will have input in the design development, design team coordination, and effective internal and external communication. The range of tasks you will be involved in and the open studio culture give excellent opportunity to advance your career and progress to Part 3.
Contract type: permanent and full-time
Salary: commensurate with experience and responsibilities
Location: Clerkenwell, Central London
Start date: as soon as possible
The studio
Patalab was established in 2008 and has gained a reputation for its high quality design of contemporary spaces for a wide range of private, public and corporate clients in the UK, and across Europe. We enjoy transforming existing buildings for new uses as well as delivering innovative and site-specific new build projects. Our design approach aims at the delivery of sensitive but powerful designs that compliment their context. The studio’s completed work includes a number of acclaimed award-winning schemes: Heath House and Cascade House in Hampstead; The Gables in Primrose Hill; and Marconi House in central London.
Experience and skills:
- RIBA Part 2 or equivalent degree qualification
- excellent design skills
- relevant experience working in architectural practice in the UK
- good understanding of making things
- good working knowledge of CAD (ideally Microstation)
- proficiency in digital modelling
- ability to work within a team, as well as working independently
- fluent in written and spoken English
