James Grayley Architects is looking for a talented architect to join its office in Bath, UK.
James Grayley Architects is undertaking an increasing number of complex retrofit and cultural projects and is seeking a talented architect with excellent design, technical and presentation skills. They should be capable of leading projects at all stages, experienced at managing a small internal team through technical design and construction stages, and in coordinating with clients, consultants and contractors.
We are keen for the new team member to contribute to the wider operation of the practice and be interested in shaping its output and future direction.
Experience:
- three plus years’ post Part 3 experience
- demonstrable experience of the delivery of construction projects within the UK
- contract administration experience, ideally with traditional contracts, would be an advantage
- experience with Adobe CS and Vectorworks software desirable
- experience of independently leading small and medium scale projects including overseeing assistants, project resourcing and programme
- familiarity in working with existing, and ideally historic and listed, structures.
- a keen understanding of environmental performance and UK building regulations
