3D architectural illustrator
at Squire and Partners
Squire & Partners is looking for a 3D architectural illustrator (junior/mid-weight) to join its team in London.
This is a full-time role, working within the creative environment of our in-house illustration team. A background in architecture, interiors or illustration is essential.
As one of our 3D architectural illustrators you will be working alongside architects and interior designers, creating atmospheric illustrative images through SketchUp modelling and Photoshop post-production. The successful candidate must be capable of managing their own workload and must have excellent attention to detail, be organised and efficient, with experience working under tight deadlines.
We would like to find someone who is passionate about interior design and architecture, as well as having a keen eye for detail and an artistic flare for the visual communication of ideas and composition of images.
General requirements:
- ability to create visual images conveying a design using CAD models, concept sketches, architectural drawings or photographs and references
- keen interest in photorealistic renders, as well as more artistic illustrative styles of digital artwork
- capable of managing their own workload and must have excellent attention to detail, be organised and efficient, with experience working to tight deadlines
- work alongside experienced architects and interior designers
- preparation of images for digital and print delivery
- working at, and travelling to, our unique offices in Brixton
Ideal candidate:
- ideal candidates will have a good knowledge of SketchUp, V-Ray and Photoshop and be willing to further develop their skills
- knowledge of 3DS Max and Revit, Illustrator and InDesign is beneficial
- good experience modelling in 3D
- proven experience managing your own time, juggling multiple projects and working to deadlines
- attention to detail and ability to check own work for accuracy
- good communication skills – written and verbal
- team player
- good eye for composition, palette and detail
- passionate about architecture, technology, photography and/or art
