Gibson Thornley is seeking an experienced studio manager to support its growing London studio.

Gibson Thornley is a multi-award winning, design led architectural practice, recruiting for a new full-time role to support a growing practice. The successful candidate will have a pioneering spirit, who will look proactively at opportunities to develop how we do things, whilst covering a wide variety of duties to ensure the smooth-running of the studio. All with an understanding of the value which excellent support brings to a business.

Key responsibilities:

  • studio support – facilities management, ordering stock, H&S, CPD coordination, IT liaison, arranging post, meeting and greeting visitors, answering the phone
  • director support – recruitment, diary management, travel, etc.
  • project support – meeting arrangement, preparation of design reports, etc.
  • HR – holiday management, appraisal management
  • marketing – social media, website, awards, new business, bids, competitions
  • finance – invoicing, accounts payable, expenses, credit control, petty cash, budget, etc.

Job requirements:

  • experience in a similar role within a creative industry is essential
  • proven experience of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • good working knowledge of Adobe InDesign
  • excellent standard of written English
