Mid-weight/senior interior designer
at Maze Workplace
Maze Workplace is looking for a mid-weight/senior interior designer to join its team in London.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and highly creative designer to be part of a growing business currently working within Francis Hunter Project Management. Working on prestigious and innovative workplace projects secured by the project management side of the business.
You will have experience working on commercial workplace projects of various scale and business sector, liaising with clients/contractors and seeing projects through from brief taking to completion. You should be experienced at working within a team, effectively delivering to tight deadlines on time and on budget, with accuracy and consistency.
You will have strong design presentation skills both with regards to developing design proposals and delivering presentations to board level clients. You should have a thorough understanding of Workplace strategy and new working models, such as agile working and activity-based working.
Requirements:
- you will be highly self-motivated and proactive with a passion for design and construction
- a minimum of five years’ professional experience in commercial workplace design
- strong AutoCAD and Adobe suite skills
- highly innovative and compliant space planning abilities
- ability to work with clients to formulate briefs and translate them into robust design schemes
- a good understanding of workplace analysis
- strong SketchUp or free-hand sketching is essential
- exceptional presentation skills
- excellent client liaison skills
- full understanding of all stages of the design process from RIBA stages 0-7
- ability to translate NBS Building and NBS Create efficiently
- comprehensive knowledge of developing and producing design packages and working with the technical team to deliver information
- thorough experience in running projects and dealing with variations and value engineering
- experience in furniture specification and procurement
- proactive, confident and highly motivated attitude
- great communication skills both written and verbal
