Map Projects is seeking an interior architect/designer to join its team in London.
Map Projects is seeking an interior architect/designer with a minimum of tw0 years’ experience in all phases of interior architectural services (or RIBA/BIID equivalent).
You will work with a multidisciplinary team to provide concepts, organise and execute delivery of interior design proposals for various high-end residential international projects.
You will be responsible for preparing design presentations including sketches and material boards, working drawings and specifications. You must be able to manage the project during all phases of the work. Experience with bespoke-made furniture is important. You must possess specialised knowledge of interior architecture and design.
Requirements:
- bachelor’s degree in interior design or interior architecture
- two years’ minimum of related experience in design of interior projects, which must include residential and on-site delivery
- ability to work to deadlines, show strong initiative, and work in a multidisciplinary team
- excellent understanding of the process of translating design concepts into building assemblies, must be able to space plan, provide furniture layouts, develop imagery, and prepare specifications, and cost control
- must possess strong communication and presentation skills with excellent CAD and digital skills (Vectorworks, Adobe suite, Excel, and SketchUp)
- must possess strong technical and creative skills with a vast knowledge of and affinity for materials and a good eye and attention to detail
- passion about design and creative disciplines; knowledge of products and materials, suppliers, and design trends in the luxury residential sector
- must be authorised to work in the UK
