Barcode Architects is hiring a project architect to join its team in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
Barcode Architects is an architecture and urbanism office based in Rotterdam. The office was founded in 2009 and now consists of an international team of around 70 architects, urban planners and building engineers. Barcode Architects focuses on both design and research, with projects in the Netherlands and abroad. We work on a variety of projects, ranging from public buildings to high-rise towers. We are currently working on a number of high-profile projects, such as the CasaNova (Rotterdam), the Sluishuis (Amsterdam) and the new city offices in Dresden.
As project architect you are responsible for the entire design process, from the first concept sketches to construction and delivery. You are the first point of contact for clients and project partners, and lead the design team. We are looking for senior architects, preferably with some knowledge of the Dutch language and rules and regulations. Experience with later design stages and construction are an asset.
Our ideal candidate:
- has a degree in architecture
- has seven to ten years’ of relevant work experience with large scale projects
- has strong leadership and management skills
- working knowledge of Revit is a plus
- fluent in English and preferably also spoken and written skills in Dutch
- experience in the Dutch context and Dutch regulations is a plus
