Kennedy Woods is hiring a data analyst to join its team in London.
Kennedy Woods is seeking a data analyst for a six-month contract to assist with several large-scale, built-environment.architecture projects.
About you:
- you are a data analyst with five years of experience, preferably with cities, planning and real estate
- you likely have expertise in sustainability, demographics, economics, technology and innovation, and/or investment and capital markets
- you’re an effective communicator. You are adept at engaging with diverse communities, translating industry language into plain English, and sharing impactful insights
- you enjoy working within a team, and are able to support others by sharing your insights to further their understanding
- you are highly organised, fastidious about detail and enjoy complex problem-solving
The job
Work closely with the directors to coordinate and run a six month research project.
Produce empirical and statistically rigorous data that leads to understanding people’s behaviours and attitudes, and generates actionable insights.
Interpret and analyse data from various sources, which might include:
- reading news from industry-specific and local outlets to gather data about business, economic, company, infrastructure, demographic and real estate market activity
- searching and pulling data from public records around local property, businesses, and land use.
- meeting and talking with external data analysts, brokers, tenants, owners, businesses, architects and economic development organisations
- gathering property data such as status, built and renovated dates, leasing company, architect, developer
- gathering local company data such as industry, headcount, revenue, location
- identify, analyse, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
Deliver results on time and within budget
Skills:
- bachelor’s degree required
- one plus year experience in commercial real estate and/or planning
- strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
- understanding of data architecture and data modelling
- understanding of Spatial/GIS Database platforms and techniques.
- strong Microsoft excel skills preferred
- strong project management skills
Experience
- experience with Master Data Management
- experience of Data Governance processes. E.g. Data Profiling, Data quality, reference data management. Experience with Elastic Search
