Hopkins Architects is seeking a new business and bid manager to join its team in London.

Hopkins Architects is currently looking for a new business and bid manager to join its award winning practice in London.

Reporting to the head of communications, you will be responsible for managing the practice’s bid process and associated tasks such as marketing database management.

Candidates should have three plus years’ experience in a similar role (including bid and competition submissions) with excellent InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator skills.  They should be a confident and approachable communicator,  able to advise and work with senior architectural staff to facilitate best outcomes.

Main areas of responsibility include bid management, business development, compiling and maintaining the CRM database and writing marketing material.

Summary of duties/tasks

Bid management:

  • responsible for management of bid process and schedule, including managing OJEU selection
  • producing requests for information and proposals, bids and submissions
  • co-ordination of architects input to ensure deadlines are met
  • create and maintain database including any bid feedback
  • maintaining the resources and information archive including practice and project text, CVs, brochures and publications
  • maintaining sample texts and text library
  • prepare monthly analysis of bid activity for principals

Business development:

  • research business areas for specific events or marketing campaigns
  • assist with co-ordination and organisation of events e.g. for MIPIM or AUDE and follow up
  • assist with office events, using CRM database to issue invites, record responses and issue any follow up mail outs
  • maintain and contribute to development of practice’s CRM database
  • develop practice’s approach to CRM, hospitality, networking, direct mail outs etc.
  • supporting business development initiatives including researching clients, opportunities and OJEU’s, maintaining the database of submissions and contacts
  • supporting sector marketing pushes
  • implementing graphic continuity across the office
  • reviewing and tracking new opportunities
  • maintaining all practice profiles/brochures ensuring they are up to date
  • responsible for sending digital brochures out to clients as required
  • compile and maintain CRM database
