Proctor & Shaw is looking for a Part 2 architectural assistant to join its team in London.

Proctor & Shaw are seeking a talented and motivated Part 2 architectural assistant to work on a range of exciting residential projects (new build and refurbishment) from our south London based studio.
The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate an outstanding design portfolio, with good knowledge of construction detailing and UK building regulations. Applicants must be excellent communicators, but be able to work independently, and have one or two years relevant work experience.
The ideal candidate will be fluent in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop/Indesign) and a CAD drawing package in both 2D and 3D – preferably Vectorworks. Some knowledge of visualisation software also preferred – Maxwell an advantage.
Above all we’re looking for someone who is personable, motivated and intuitive.
Key responsibilities of the role:
- you will be expected to hone expert skills in Vectorworks and SketchUp during the early stages of employment
- assist in concept proposal work
- produce high quality 3D visuals in Maxwell (or similar visualisation software)
- produce physical models and hand sketches
- assist in report writing/formulating
- assist in work packages for tender documentation (technical design)
- assist in site administration
- assist in general office admin procedures, including time keeping for the office and marketing
- you will be expected to work independently and use good intuition when faced with unfamiliar tasks
Requirements:
- Part 2 RIBA recognised degree or equivalent
- previous work experience in a UK architectural practice.
- candidates must have the right to work in the UK and be fluent in English
- be able to start soon if possible
Employment will be based in our Kennington studio in south London.
