Gallery manager

FJ Hakimian is seeking a gallery manager to join its team in New York.
Full time, in-person, Monday to Friday, 9:30am to 5:30pm (30 minute lunch break)
Qualifications:
- must have a strong interest in learning about handwoven textiles and carpets
- enjoy being in a creative environment
- being a team leader and working collaboratively
- strong time management skills
- oral and written skills
- computer fluency
Responsibilities:
- receiving clients in the gallery and overseeing presentations
- overseeing all employees, making sure they are up to date on their projects
- adding content to our social media platforms
- attending trade shows to find new sources for fabrics and carpets
- handling orders for our Custom Carpet and Fabric collections (constant communication with vendors to ensure clients receive orders on time)
- answering phones, emails and preparing quotations
- building relationships with new designers and architects, engaging with current ones to remind them of our products
- travelling to clients to present fabric and carpet samples
Requirements:
- must be fully Covid vaccinated
- US citizen/green card or valid US work permit
