K4 Architects is seeking qualified architects/Part 2 architectural assistants to join its team in Birmingham, UK.
K4 Architects are a small, dynamic practice located in Digbeth, Birmingham’s creative quarter, with a second satellite office in rural, Herefordshire. We are working on a number of high profile projects around the Midlands, across key sectors which include an exciting variety of; residential schemes, listed building conversions, masterplanning, mixed-use and tall building developments. We have an award-winning track record and the practice’s work is recognised across the Midlands for its imagination and innovation.
We are looking to strengthen our team by recruiting passionate and ambitious architects and Part 2 architectural assistants to join our team. You need to be a team player, self motivated, a good communicator with an interest in broadening your skills. The position will require both individual and teamwork, as well as working on multiple projects at various stages.
Applicants would ideally have:
- strong design skills.
- good organisation, attention to detail and proven drive to achieve outcomes
- good written and verbal communication skills
- strong visualisation and presentation skills
- An understanding of planning procedures, construction documentation, building regulations and building contracts
- comfortable with client liaison
- experience in Vectorworks, MS Office, Photoshop and InDesign is preferred
- experience in BIM (Revit) is desirable but not essential
- the right to work in the UK without restrictions

Salary is negotiable depending on level of experience.
