Indiana University is seeking a visiting lecturer in comprehensive design to join its faculty in Indiana, USA.
The Eskenazi School of Art, Architecture and Design at Indiana University Bloomington is seeking applicants for a visiting lecturer to teach all levels of undergraduate and graduate digital art. This will be a one-year appointment, which may be extended for one to two additional years. Continuation of the appointment is based on effective performance of assigned duties, school funding, and continuation of programmatic needs. All renewals must be approved by the dean. The position begins 1 August 2022.

Multi-disciplinary applicants are sought whose portfolios and research span various disciplines of design, and whose teaching will address the broad ranging implications of this intersection in contemporary design.
Position responsibilities also include, but are not limited to:
- maintaining professional and academic expertise
- teaching an annual course load of five courses during the ten-month academic year
- participating in curriculum development
- providing departmental, university, and professional service

Basic qualifications:
- a master-level degree in architecture OR a degree in a design discipline with substantial evidence of professional architectural practice
- a portfolio containing evidence of expertise in design and design process, communication of design ideas, and digital design and drafting skill (Note: Please make indication of individual contribution to any collaborative projects presented in portfolio)
- strong experience with construction and materials, evidenced through professional practice or education
Preferred qualifications:
- demonstrated record of college-level teaching, especially in design studios
- professional design experience with demonstrated expertise in commercial design, socially responsible and sustainable design, furniture/installation design, collaborative design, user-centered design and/or digital design and drafting
- NCARD, LEED-AP, and/or other relevant certifications
- engagement with professional organizations
- experience with Revit, Rhino, Grasshopper, Adobe Suite
Salary commensurate with experience
