Project architect

Dust Architecture is seeking a project architect with five-plus years’ experience to join its team in London.
We are a young, friendly practice of architects and designers based in London and Winchester. We work across a range of sectors including family homes, mixed use developments, office fit out and educational projects. We approach each of our projects individually and have no house style. All our work is realised via a creative design process run in collaboration with our clients, and in response to the site context.
We are looking for a talented designer with excellent communication and leadership skills; a confident all-rounder with strong concept and technical design abilities.
The successful candidate will be running a number of exciting projects including two design-led, residential extensions/ full house refurbishments that will be starting on site in the coming months. You will be responsible for leading a small team and delivering a range of other bespoke projects, from poolhouses to nurseries, at various design stages.
Key responsibilities:
- collaborate on the creative design process with one or more team members
- lead the production of high-quality concept and technical design packages
- lead multiple projects simultaneously across RIBA stages 0-7
- set and manage client expectations: regular updates and programme regular design workshops
- undertake site inspections, provide site support and administer building contracts
Qualifications and skills:
- Part 3 qualified Architect with proven project running experience
- a strong knowledge of the construction process and architectural detailing
- a keen eye for detail and excellent presentation skills
- a portfolio that demonstrates design ability, experience and delivery across all stages
- a comprehensive understanding of UK planning, building regulations and JCT contract administration
- proficiency in ArchiCAD and MicroStation would be an advantage
