Architectural designer
at Studio Lord
Studio Lord is seeking an architectural designer to join its team in London.
Studio Lord is a design studio dedicated to finding creative solutions for buildings, spaces, and masterplans to enhance the experience of everyone who uses them. We are currently looking for a creative architectural designer to join our London studio and be involved with a range of exciting UK and international projects.
The ideal candidate must be a proactive, motivated, and design-led, who can assist deliver projects to the highest standard. The position requires a professional and can-do approach, including the ability to engage with a full design team and resolve technical design coordination challenges.
Role requirements:
- a creative thinker with strong design and detailing skills with the ability to problem-solve
- excellent hand-drawn skills, including the ability to produce sketch illustrations
- experience across all stages of architectural projects, especially concept and schematic design phases
- experience working effectively with clients and consultant teams, including chairing design team meetings
- technical expertise (including coordination) and knowledge of current construction methods
- highly proficient in Vectorworks 3D and AutoCAD is essential. Experience and an understanding of BIM processes is desirable
- demonstrate excellent SketchUp and Photoshop/Affinity Photo skills
- international project experience is desirable but not essential
- a strong understanding of UK planning and building regulations
- strong communication, presentation skills and a can-do attitude
- excellent attention to detail, time management and organisation skills are essential
