Alison Brooks Architects is hiring a communications and marketing manager to join its team in London.
Alison Brooks Architects is an award-winning practice with a growing international clientele, based in Highgate Studios, London. We are recruiting an experienced and enthusiastic communications and marketing manager to support our growth and manage all public relations activities for the company, including press, social media, awards submissions, events and lectures, and supporting new business bids, etc.
Reporting directly to principal and creative director, you should be outgoing, highly organised and passionate about architecture. The position requires excellent editorial skills, a high degree of responsibility, industry savvy, and proactive team focus. You will be a part of a highly skilled and collaborative management team committed to excellence in design, sustainability, inclusivity, and creative client relationships.
The role includes
Public relations:
- maintain and create relationships with representatives from the media and press
- identify press opportunities and raising the profile of the practice
- create and edit written materials including press releases, newsletters, biographies, practice and project texts, etc.
Marketing:
- manage and enhance social media content and frequency across platforms: Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter
- organise talks, lectures, presentations, and events, in liaison with Alison Brooks, including diary management
- create and manage graphic material including lecture presentations, brochures, and award submissions
- create and issue email newsletters
- manage and enhance the website, liaise with the web developer
- hold overall responsibility for brand management and corporate identity
- commission professional photography and manage the practice image library
- manage and update the practice contacts database
- prepare industry awards submissions
New business:
- research and identify new business and collaboration opportunities
- monitor online procurement portals and circulate opportunities to management
- contribute to expressions of interest and presentations for prospective clients
- monitor bids and obtain feedback
- manage and improve bid documentation including project sheets and staff CVs
- represent Alison Brooks Architects at networking and client events
Skills and experience:
- a minimum three years’ experience in a similar role in an architectural/built environment practice
- excellent writing and graphic skills
- strong existing relationships globally within the architecture world
- ability to prioritise, work under pressure to meet deadlines
- ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
- self-motivated and dedicated to delivering high-quality creative campaigns
- highly personable, with the ability to create and maintain creative relationships with colleagues and clients
- experience of event management and networking
- proficient in Adobe Creative Suite – InDesign, Photoshop; Open Asset image management; Microsoft Office, Mailchimp and Hootsuit
- highly organised, proactive and professional
