Manchester, UK
Associates and associate directors
at ADP

ADP Architecture has opportunities for associates and associate directors at its studio in Manchester, UK.

Do you dream of a better built environment?

We’re looking for architects at associates and associate director level to join our studio in central Manchester and help us design a better future – one where buildings genuinely serve the needs of the people who use them. If you’re a highly talented and experienced architect who’s looking for their next exciting challenge, this could be the role for you. We are particularly interested to hear from architects with an interest in the technical aspects of delivering complex projects.

With eight studios across the UK, Cyprus and India, and over 50 years’ history, ADP is an AJ100 top 40 architecture practice which designs around the principles of sustainability, belonging and engagement, rethinking the built environment to create a better future. At ADP, you’ll be working on projects that truly benefit their communities, from large laboratory buildings to mixed-use developments, sensitive refurbishments to envelope-pushing new builds, £100m high-profile schemes to local grassroots projects. You’ll have the opportunity to utilise and develop your skills in a chosen sector or as an all-rounder, working with our cross-practice specialists in sectors including residential, commercial, healthcare and education design.

Our associates and associate directors oversee and manage our ADP projects and teams and act as the lead consultant within the wider design team. You would be managing the design process, programming outputs and ensuring the delivery of high quality designs which align with ADP’s ethos and vision. You’ll be supported by a local director and our nationwide specialist sector directors.

ADP is an employee-owned practice – meaning that all staff have a say in how the business is run, and everyone benefits from its success. We know that a healthy work/life balance is important and in addition to other competitive benefits, all staff have flexible working hours with the option to take a three-day weekend every fortnight.

We’re an equal opportunities employer and a gold-standard investor in people – reflecting our belief that it takes a people-centred practice to create people-centred architecture. Diversity is at the heart of our success, and we welcome applications from underrepresented groups.
