Junior/mid-weight interior designer

Edwards Mccoy is looking for a junior to mid-weight interior designer to join its small team in Essex, UK.
We are a leading interior design firm that produces exciting and diverse interiors within the bar, restaurant and nightclub industry. We have several exciting projects coming up so are looking for an all rounder that will be able to support across all stages as needed. Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years’ experience within the hospitality industry, good conceptual, technical and FF&E skills and be proficient in Vectorworks/AutoCAD. A knowledge of photoshop and Microsoft programmes would be advantageous.
Responsibilities:
- support in technical drawing packages including plans, elevations and details
- produce FF&E specification documents and contribute to FF&E selection with consideration to project budgets
- liaise with suppliers and contractors.
- edit visuals and render plans using photoshop
- produce concept presentations
- attend site meetings with the director or senior designers
Required skills:
- a degree in interior design or related degree with proven work experience in the field
- experience of FF&E selection with good organisation skills
- competent in using AutoCAD/Vectorworks with two plus years’ experience
- a passion for interior design with the ability to execute interior design projects in a hospitality setting
- fluent in English – spoken and written
