Jacobs is looking for Part 2 architectural assistants and Part 3 architects to join its central London studio.

Jacobs is hiring both Part 2 architectural assistants and Part 3 architects to support an expanding portfolio of UK and international projects. You will have the opportunity to provide design solutions across multiple design sectors from commercial, transportation, defence, to public sector organisations globally. Joining us will allow you to showcase your design skills and broaden your technical ability whilst working on a wide variety of projects at different stages from feasibility, concept, through to detailed design delivery.

Working within our cities and places business unit, successful candidates will be integral members of the design process supporting on generating ideas, developing 3D models, producing renders, through to technical delivery.  You will be naturally collaborative and able to work within a team-based delivery, including working closely with senior architects, interior designers, engineers and other in-house design professionals. The positions will provide opportunities for client facing roles working on challenging projects with focus on innovation and the use of digital.

Successful candidates will be responsible for:

  • championing the principles of good design, whilst bringing inspiring innovative design solutions to our increasing project portfolio
  • ensuring technical quality through implementation of best practice and continuous improvement processes
  • developing and maintaining client relationships through successful project execution
  • producing design models, drawings, visualisations, schedules, to NBS Chorus specifications
  • helping to deliver design solutions to reduce carbon for a more connected and sustainable world

The successful candidates will be highly motivated with the ability to take forward and deliver projects working as part of a team. You will be an excellent communicator, capable of presenting to clients and collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to achieve optimum design solutions.

Other key skills and desired characteristics required for these positions include:

  • having a sound working knowledge of BIM Level 2 project delivery with the ability to implement the use of 3D design processes including working in Autodesk Revit, Rhino, and visualisation software

  • embracing digital technology, innovation, and automation to drive efficient design solutions
