Home Tales is hiring an architectural designer/technician to join its team in London.

Home Tales is an architectural firm based in London. We offer homeowners with a design package for home extensions and renovations. Client relationships are at the forefront of our business philosophy and our team go above and beyond to always deliver excellent service. Our core service structure includes architectural designs, planning permission and building regulations packs.

The role

We are looking for an architectural designer/technician to join our team. The candidate is required to live in London as surveys and client meetings will be held in London. The role would involve working with clients directly, undertaking measured surveys, attending client meetings, proposing design ideas, drawing up plans in CAD, liaising with clients to adapt their designs and assistance with planning applications. There would also be some assistance in producing the building regulations pack and liaising with our structural engineer

Main responsibilities:

• measured surveys
• client meetings
• producing designs for clients (existing and proposed)
• creating planning packs (existing and proposed floorplans, elevations, sectional details)
• preparation of planning applications and associated material
• submission and oversight of on-going planning applications
• basic administrative duties

Essential skills:

• required – proficient in AutoCAD
• required – minimum one year experience working in a similar role
• required – experience with planning applications
• familiar with office suite (Word, Outlook, Excel)
• effective communication skills (verbal and written)
• positive attitude and friendly outlook
• high attention to detail
• self-motivated, managing own time and working as well as part of a team

• salary – £22k to £30k per annum

Hours: 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday
