Mid-weight interior architect

HollandGreen is looking for a mid-weight interior architect to join its practice in Oxfordshire, UK.
We are a team of architects, interior designers and landscape designers. We combine a valuable heritage with a contemporary vision that transforms bold ideas into truly inspiring buildings and spaces, working collaboratively across all three divisions.
Successful applicants will have the opportunity to work on high-profile projects from concept through to completion, becoming part of a dynamic, design-led and friendly Studio.
The ideal candidate will have
- an interior design degree or architectural qualifications
- experience in high-end residential or hospitality
- strong design and communication skills
- previous experience working on a drawing package
- creative flair and a conceptual approach to design
- enthusiasm and the ability to show initiative
- understanding of and experience in delivering projects from pitches to drawing packages
- strong teamwork and the ability to collaborate, to innovate and to learn
- solid skills in 2D and 3D package(s) including ArchiCad AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign) Sketchup. Experience in using ArchiCAD is preferred
Role responsibilities:
- presenting design proposals and managing client meetings
- working on all interior architecture stages; producing technical packages, elevation, specifications, bespoke joinery and furniture designs
- working on multiple projects at once
- producing high quality presentation sheets and schedules
- communicating proactively with clients throughout a project
- listening to and taking a detailed brief from other interior designers and clients
- obtaining costs/materials, which may involve calling/visiting suppliers
- responsibility for day-to-day studio maintenance i.e., morning and evening routines
- taking minutes in meetings and managing follow-ups internally and externally
Skills and qualifications:
- five plus years’ professional experience in the UK
- excellent creative and design skills; a good eye and passion for high-end interiors
- strong technical experience and the ability to produce all interior architectural drawings at a high level of detail and accuracy
- strong client presentation skills with a professional and clear manner
- highly experienced in working on projects both independently and in teams, from start to completion
- customer-focused mindset and the ability to work in an agile way in a fast-paced environment
- experienced in producing contractual proposals for projects
- outstanding administrative skills
- good supplier knowledge would be beneficial
- strong skills in AutoCAD, InDesign and Microsoft Office
A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential.
