Boss Design is recruiting a business development manager to join its team in London.

Business development manager A&D London
To promote and grow the specification of Boss Design through architects and interior designers mainly in the London area. Promote interest and sales in our products and solutions in our existing markets and drive specifications in new sectors whilst working in partnership with the wider sales team.
Key tasks and accountabilities:
- to promote Boss Design and Lyndon Design within the A&D community establishing the brands as the leading manufacturers of quality furniture in the UK
- identify major A&D projects for specification and collaborate with the key account stakeholders and practices to drive specification
- identify opportunities, generate sales and raise the profile of our products within the design community to ensure delivery against budgets, profitability and strategy
- build and maintain strong relationships with interior designers in order to track projects, ensuring Boss Design is recognised in the early stages of specification
- identify and target key decision makers within the furniture selection process, engage regularly with the wider sales team on projects and ensure transparency and collaborative working practices are followed within the team
- organise and host A&D evening events in the London Showroom
- network and remain commercially aware of the UK contract interiors market to inform and contribute knowledgeably to business strategy
- attend and exhibit at industry-related trade shows and exhibitions to gain maximum brand exposure and networking opportunities
- constantly seek out ways of maximising business development opportunities
Essential criteria:
- proven experience in generating interest in products and brands (in the interiors or a related sector) and the ability to turn this interest into long-term business relationships with the target group
- experience of delivering training/sales presentations
- ability to carry out planning, reporting and administration for the area of responsibility
- excellent analytical skills and a good assessment of business opportunities
- CRM knowledge and analysis
- good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and CRM

- the role will be home based but with regular and frequent travel to visit existing customers/ specifiers in the London area and host showroom visits
