About us
Yinka Ilori is a multidisciplinary London-based artist of British-Nigerian heritage, who specialises in storytelling by fusing the two identities of his descent to convey untold narratives in contemporary design. He began his practice in 2011 by up-cycling vintage furniture, inspired by the traditional Nigerian parables and West African fabrics that surrounded him as a child.

The studio consists of a team of colour-obsessed architects, designers and thinkers, with the expertise and capacity to take on public realm projects, large-scale architectural-spatial projects along with smaller scale interior design and product design projects. The studio continues to experiment with the relationship between function and form, with an output that sits between traditional divisions of art, design and architecture.
We’re looking for a Part 3 qualified architect, with an interest in arts and challenging the norms, to join us.
We are looking for:
- two to five years’ post Part 3 experience, in spatial design and public realm projects
- an interest in spatial design and public realm projects and engaging communities working in the public realm
- a portfolio that demonstrates excellent design abilities, presentation skills and experience in delivery along with good communication skills
- technical knowledge and experience with a main focus on materiality, construction knowledge preferable
- strong construction knowledge
- knowledge and interest in sustainable building practices and building performance across the life of a project
- the ability to apply your expertise effectively, take initiatives whilst being open to new ideas
- good leadership and management skills along with the ability to work with a team to achieve a common goal
- skilled in handling situations with creativity and strategic thinking, motivated with the ability to multi-task, manage workload and meet deadlines
- ability to engage positively with peers across the practice
- flexibility and a willingness to pitch into both project and non-project tasks
- excellent working software knowledge of 2D and 3D Rhino, SketchUp and Adobe Suite Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop and MS Office
