Studio manager and financial assistant

DaeWha Kang Design is looking for a studio manager and financial assistant to join our team in London on a part-time or full-time basis of 30-40 hours per week. The role is mixed-mode, allowing for a balance between remote working and being based at our Highbury, Islington office.

You must already have the right to work in the UK and should have at least three years of experience working business administrative roles in a fast-paced environment or start-up.

We are a boutique creative practice in London focusing on improving human wellbeing through innovative and beautiful designs. As we continue to grow, we are looking for someone who will play an integral role in the success of the studio – taking on the day-to-day role of being the cheerleader for the team, whilst supporting senior management in financial administration and acting as the PA to the creative director.

We are looking for someone who is detail oriented, self-driven to work hard and achieve amazing results and personable. You should be confident in taking on tasks related to studio administration, PA duties, HR and finance. The ideal candidate will have an excellent eye for detail, a skilful touch in communicating in a well-spoken manner and have a good foundation in accounting. Previous experience in Quickbooks, Outlook and personal assistant duties are a must; with further experience in Harvest, a background in accounting, or experience in a creative studio a plus.

You will work closely with both the creative director and our operations consultant to help drive the studio and team forward. The work you carry out will be widespread and varied – so you will need to be well organised and able to prioritise tasks.

We are a studio of ten people and people love working here, so we are looking for someone who is not only talented and hard working, but also approachable and compassionate. Note that if you join, you will have to participate in our office well-being mentoring and also in the office book club where we read a design-related book together each month.
