Manea Kella is seeking a part-time studio manager to join its team in London.

Manea Kella is an award-winning practice with work in both the UK and Europe. The practice is known for its rigorous and thoughtful approach to projects.

The successful candidate will support the team across a wide range of tasks and play a key role in setting the ideal conditions for producing excellent design work. A creative and analytical approach are integral parts to the role, with a commercial awareness and capacity to engage with new business to contribute to the practice long-term strategic objectives. As the practice continues to grow the staff require support to assist in the smooth running of the studio, project support and promoting and raising the profile of the studio.

Job responsibilities include

Studio management:

  • helping to ensure the smooth day to day running of the studio
  • managing the office diary and organising travel
  • supporting all employees with administrative duties where required
  • making and coordinating appointments and meetings
  • managing the company’s stock inventory and website
  • coordinating routine maintenance, repair and administrative work for the company’s affiliated property business
  • organising events, including annual Christmas and summer party and other social events
  • managing company software licences
  • maintaining and ongoing development of company health and safety policies
  • managing company’s HR processes

Marketing and communications:

  • managing all PR correspondence, liaising with various journalists and keeping PR spreadsheet up to date
  • creating content for and managing company social media accounts
  • arranging completed project photography
  • establish relationship with relevant journalists and editors
  • be pro-active in raising our company profile
  • develop and implement PR / marketing strategy plans

Business development:

  • researching leads and gathering information for competitions
  • monitoring contracts portals & other updated websites for opportunities
  • develop and implement BD strategy and engage with external consultants

Human resources:

  • liaising with external consultants where required
  • coordinate and administer staff appraisals
  • monitor staff holiday & absence
  • being available for our staff to speak to with any issues
  • being involved in the introduction of the studio’s project management software
  • assisting with the recruitment process; arranging interviews, organising incoming CVs

Finances:

  • preparing invoices and managing invoices schedules
  • chasing invoices
  • create and monitor project fee trackers

Software requirements:

  • Microsoft Office 365: Word, Excel, Powerpoint
  • Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat

Skills:

  • experience as an architecture studio manager
  • keen interest in architecture and interior design
  • clear and succinct communicator with excellent interpersonal skills who can confidently and sensitively liaise with members of the team, as well as clients contractors and architects both in person and over phone/email
  • excellent spelling, grammar, and vocabulary with good command of the English language
  • excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • a positive, friendly, and practical approach to day-to-day issues and problem solving
  • able to adapt to change and respond positively to new challenges
  • utmost discretion, essential when assisting with confidential matters
