Textile sales support administrator

Yarn Collective is hiring a textile sales support administrator to join its team in London.

Exciting opportunity to join a young rapidly growing London based textile company.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • work closely with our sales team to manage the processing of customer orders, reserves and queries in a timely and cost effective manner so our customers are delighted with our service and our business continues to be respected, grow and trade profitably
  • liaise with sales team to build quotes and ensure they are sent promptly and new enquires handled efficiently
  • receive and process client orders from the UK, EU and USA
  • check stock and reserve stock for clients, arranging cuttings for approval where appropriate
  • match up orders with reserves and process orders to our warehouse in a timely fashion
  • help build and maintain relationships with clients by keeping them informed of the progress of their orders and agree suitable action plan if there are issues with an order. Escalating where necessary
  • attend stock purchasing weekly meetings
  • attend weekly meetings with sales team to discuss the delivery of jobs and our pipeline of work following up with clients where necessary
  • oversee the delivery of larger scale projects sometimes for custom product with the sales and purchasing team
  • monitor the fulfilment of orders to ensure accurate and timely delivery.
  • resolve after-sales queries/issues in a timely fashion and escalate where necessary
  • develop sales leads and reply to quotation requests
  • where necessary work with clients to present alternatives to out of stock/ over budget textiles
  • keep our system up to date with relevant client and product information to ensure smooth running of the business and relevant information is up to date for the sales and purchasing teams to view
  • identify areas within your role and outside your role on the business you feel could be improved and share ideas for improvement
  • create detailed handovers when spending time away for the business for a smooth handover to colleagues while they are covering your role during this period
  • communicate regularly with accounts about which payments have been received against which orders and what to action
  • ensure our warehouse is shipping orders in a timely fashion without delay.
  • support the sales team with marketing activity including trade fairs and social media outputs

Supply clients with the tracking information for each one of their orders once they ship.

Knowledge, experience and skills:

  • previous experience in a similar role
  • ability to work well under pressure
  • outstanding communication, presentation and organisational skills
  • high level of numeracy and literacy in English
  • IT literate, a confident user of Microsoft Office
  • flexible, adaptable, and have a dynamic, hands-on approach to your work
  • positive, with a can-do attitude

 

  • Hours of work: Mon-Fri 9.00am to 17:30pm
  • Holidays: 20 days per annum (excluding bank holidays) pension plan available
