Modernity is looking for a full-time gallery assistant to join its team in Stockholm, Sweden.
Modernity is an international gallery with locations in Östermalm, Stockholm, and Belgravia, London. As dealers of twentieth-century Nordic design masterpieces, we organise regular exhibitions and participate in design/art fairs. We work closely with renowned interior decorators as well as institutional and private collectors.
We would like to hear from candidates interested in working in the operational and logistical running of a commercial design gallery. The ideal candidate will have proven organisational talents and strong English written and verbal communication skills. They will possess natural confidence and the ability to interact with colleagues and occasionally with gallery clients; they will need to manage their time efficiently.
For our Stockholm gallery, we are looking to hire an assistant on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be a hugely valued member of the team and integral to the day-to-day running of the gallery.
The role will include administrative and organisational tasks, assisting with logistics, shipping, and website/database upkeep. The ideal candidate will have strong personal, digital, and social media skills. Experience with InDesign and Photoshop is desirable but not a requirement. The role will also include assisting with product photoshoots and supporting the warehouse manager to handle the gallery’s collection.
Language requirement: English (excellent)
Requirements: driver’s license valid in Sweden. EU citizenship.
