There is an opportunity for an architecture graduate to act as a technical junior consultant at gb partnerships in the UK.

The role

As a junior consultant, you’ll be embedded in our estates technical team working on live healthcare projects. You will be guided and mentored by a RIBA qualified architect working primarily across RIBA Work Stages 1-3, with opportunities to get involved in Stages 3-7 in a project/design management capacity.

Day to day you can expect to:

• space plan healthcare environments
• apply and interpret NHS technical and design guidance
• gain exposure to statutory consent processes and project planning
• engage directly with end users, NHS clients, developers and local authority clients
• attend project meetings and produce written outputs, including minutes and reports
• collaborate with other design consultants such as MEP, Structural  Engineers, Acoustic  and Fire consultants
• work on feasibility investigations, buildings and sites, across a variety of NHS and local authority estate
• visit construction sites and assist with site progress meetings and inspections
• author feasibility study reports and review/compile information from other design disciplines to deliver RIBA Stages 3 & 4 design reports

Skills:

• proficiency in AutoCAD or Revit (or similar)
• understanding of architectural plans, sections, technical drawing notation and spatial dimensions
• strong Microsoft Office skills (especially Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
• excellent written and verbal communication
• ability to think strategically with attention to detail

To support your progression through the RIBA pathway, we offer funding of course fees, paid study leave, and day release with dedicated supervision by a RIBA-chartered architect throughout your training. This is not a requirement to fulfil the position.

Salary

Architectural graduate £26.5K – £29K dependent on experience

Masters architectural graduate £29K – £32K dependent on experience
