Orluna LED Technologies has an opportunity for an industrial designer to join its team in Watford, UK.
We are looking for an experienced lighting designer and engineer.
A person who will relish the opportunity to design and engineer lighting products of the highest standard with keen eye for detail, performance and branding.
We are a leading luxury lighting manufacturer based in Watford supplying the high end residential, hospitality and retail markets.
The ideal candidate will be somebody who has the ability to create beautifully looking products without detracting from their usability or performance.
We focus on the specification market in our chosen market niche and our customers want the best performing products with the aesthetic look they have come to expect from Orluna.
We are a growing company with an increasing international presence and we require the highest quality designers and engineers to help us continue to expand and improve our product portfolio.
We have ambitious growth plans over the next decade and we need a talented, passionate,and dedicated product and design team to achieve our plans.
You would be part of a fantastic team who have a passion for lighting. Product design and engineering is at the heart of everything we do.
The key skill sets we are looking for are as follows:
- very experienced using Solidworks is high priority
- experience designing for manufacture – designing lighting products is an advantage but not a must
- proficient with rendering software – Keyshot or Blender
- ability to convey ideas via sketching
Other nice to have skill sets are as follows:
- previous lighting design experience is advantageous but not essential
- familiar with metal fabrication
- familiar with packaging
- familiar with rapid prototyping
