Higham Furniture is looking for a kitchen designer to join its team in London.
We are an established and growing company that designs and manufactures bespoke furniture and kitchens and are looking for a creative and practical person to join our team as a kitchen designer. The role would be based at our studio in Parsons Green, London, SW6.
Job description
The role:
- prepare detailed kitchen drawings for client design meetings
- prepare detailed production drawings for manufacture
- provide backup for our sales designers taking calls, carrying out research and providing information to clients
- produce and update quotes
- research and check appliances
Person specification candidate requirements:
- two years’ minimum experience within a kitchen design studio
- a strong background, passion and qualification in interior design/product design
- graduate with a relevant qualification
- excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- strong customer and interpersonal skills
- able to demonstrate precise attention to detail
- experience of reading and interpreting architectural drawings
- ability to manage your own workload
- minimum one years’ working experience using a CAD package (we use Cabinet Vision)
This is a permanent full-time position which is immediately available the hours are Monday to Friday 9am to 5:30pm there will be occasional Saturdays (four per year).
