K&H Design is seeking a senior interior designer to join its team in London.
K&H Design is looking for a modest yet authoritative, highly talented and ambitious senior interior designer to join its London design studio. You must be a team player and have a love of listening closely to our clients in order to deliver truly personalised homes every time. You will be able to communicate your ideas through concept design presentations, hand-sketching and CAD drawings. You must have proven ability to work autonomously whilst always respecting the ethos of the studio. You will work very closely with the founder, Katie Glaister.
We are looking for someone interested in developing their career with K&H Design and growing this position into the lead designer role. This is a full-time position, based at our studio in Fulham, London.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of six years’ experience working on exquisite residential projects in London and the countryside. Further experience in designing and delivering projects internationally is also expected. You need to demonstrate an authoritative depth of design knowledge, business acumen and a passion for working with the design team, imparting knowledge and continuing to build their skills. We actively encourage our designers to share knowledge and ideas and to work together for inspiration as well as problem solving.

The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate:

Key responsibilities:
- leading and delivering projects on time, on budget and to the highest of standards
- design integrity of each project as it develops and is executed seamlessly
- oversight of team workflow and efficiency
- primary day to day relationship with the client and delivering exceptional client service
- design team management
- collaboration with and growth of mid and junior designers
- close internal communication with the Founder and the finance manager
- close external communication with clients and professional teams
- maintaining and building close relationships with suppliers
- working closely with the founder for the continuous improvement and communication of practice standards
Skills we require:
Whilst deep rooted interior architectural work and knowledge is a pre-requisite, at the heart of this role is a developed knowledge of interior design: fabrics, textiles, materiality and furniture styles throughout the ages and from around the globe. You must demonstrate a black book of established relations with trades, craftsmen and artisans and a hunger to discover and build strong professional relationships with more.

Experience and your qualifications
Relevant degrees plus six years’ + experience in high end residential design.

Recruitment process
