As a 3D artist at Marcel Wanders you will be involved in projects that range from 3D modelling, photorealistic visualisations, animations, photography and artworks. The concepts you deliver are daring and innovative and in line with the narrative style of the Marcel Wanders studio.
Together with our team of 3D artists you create artworks, architectural illustrations and animations. You are actively involved during the entire design process and you work closely with the responsible designers, project leaders and creative directors. In your daily work you are responsible for the design assignment and you manage your own workload. Next to this you have the flexibility to work on several projects at the same time. As our new 3D artist you are able to demonstrate professionalism in all communications and you have a strong working knowledge of CGI Pipeline. You have a creative flair, technical ability and above all this a proven track record in visual storytelling. As a proactive team player with excellent organisation skills you add value to our team with your magnificent ideas that go beyond everyone’s imagination.
Skills and experience:
- four+ years of relevant experience as 3D artist
- advanced level of 3D Studio Max, Vray, Photoshop and After Effects is a must
- knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Zbrush, Rhino, Solidworks and SketchUp are desirable but not essential
- possess a creative flair, technical ability and a proven track record in visual storytelling
- three dimensional and spatial understanding of buildings including shadow and light
- good understanding of scale and compositional techniques relating to the virtual environment
- knowledge and understanding of compositional techniques, atmospheric and emotional storytelling
- knowledge and understanding of animation techniques and pipeline
- excellent post production skills with great eye to detail
- familiar with methods of digital artwork production and printing processes
- excellent time management skills
- ability to work independently
- living in Amsterdam or willingness to re-locate to Amsterdam
- fluent in English
- European working Visa (no need to apply if you don’t have a valid EU Visa)
