Job description
We have exciting opportunities for full and/or part-time senior urban designers to join our multi-disciplinary team of urban designers, architects and planners. Our team works flexibly with a combination of home-working and attendance at the office.
We are an employee-owned practice and work for a wide range of private and public clients on a broad mix of projects. These range from large scale masterplans, new settlements, town centre regeneration, design coding, spatial strategies and policy documents to smaller scale arts, and community developments.
We have a strong design ethos and adopt a positive and collaborative approach to delivering people and planet-friendly places.
We are looking for a ‘safe pair of hands’ with four to five years experience in an urban design/masterplanning practice.
You will be:
- a creative and technically accomplished designer with a background in architecture (RIBA Part 1 and 2 and/or urban design MA), with an understanding of different building typologies, able to test capacities, come up with and illustrate compelling design concepts
- experienced in developing technically sound and high-quality housing layouts and/or have a particular track record in developing design proposals for higher density urban regeneration projects
- able to work collaboratively with wider teams and specialisms and motivated to manage people and projects, and confidently present to stakeholders and the community
