Solidwool has a vacancy for a business development executive to join its team in London.
Solidwool is a British company born from the idea to create sustainable design with an unbreakable link to nature and our surroundings. The end result is a strong, beautiful and unique composite material – think fibreglass, but with wool – made using considered productionised craft techniques.
Due to growth plans we are looking for an experienced sales driven business development executive to join our small, friendly Solidwool team. The ideal candidate will be someone with technical sales experience which has been gained in a similar sector.
With existing contacts and strong relationships in the architect and design community you will have experience in communicating with commercial and residential designers, carrying out sales presentations, and most importantly identifying and developing new business.
The role:
- responsible for developing and growing new business
- act as the first point of contact for existing clients and new prospects
- research, identify and proactively target clients
- establish and develop a client base through regular contact
- schedule visits in order to manage and develop clients to build brand awareness
- drive sales growth and maximise sales opportunities using a multi-faceted approach
- manage the customer experience by generating quotes, processing sales orders and actioning follow ups
- liaise and work closely with the production and marketing teams
- provide market feedback to identify trends and competitor activity to assist with product development, pricing and placement
- attend industry networking events
The candidate:
- strong interpersonal skills with existing contacts within the industry
- customer focused with experience of working within a luxury environment
- demonstrated experience of working in a more technical sales environment with the confidence and ability to communicate technical detail
- experience of building relationships with clients through different channels
- positive, energetic with a can-do attitude
- a self-starter who is not afraid to take on a challenge and who thrives in a sales role
- highly organised with strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
- be comfortable working independently and as part of a small team
- flexible and adaptable. Willingness to perform other duties as required
- a keen interest and appreciation for design, interiors and materials
- a passion for the environment and sustainability
- computer literacy in MS Office
- full clean driving licence
Location: London-based with regular travel requirements
Hours: full-time, Monday to Friday 9.30am – 5.30pm
Salary: £30,000 to £36,000 per annum, dependent on experience
