Zac Monro Architects has an opportunity for an architectural technician or technologist to join its team in London.

We are seeking an enthusiastic architectural technician/technologist to join our practice in Brixton, South London. We are a small, design led practice mainly specialising in private residential projects.

The role is to work with the team mainly on planning and tender packages for several exciting projects and following them into the construction phase. We are looking for a self-motivated team player, with knowledge of private residential projects to join our current team.

Zac Monro Architects Ltd is an architectural design practice specialising in providing creative solutions for a broad range of clients. We are a friendly and informal team who are passionate about our work and how we collaborate with the design team and our clients.

The practice was established in 2000 by the MD and founder, Zac Monro. The business continues to take on a variety of projects across the UK. This role is pivotal to the ongoing success of the practice and would suit an energetic and approachable individual who is comfortable at getting stuck in!

Job responsibilities:

  • drawing production for planning applications and detailed tender packages
  • producing schedules of works and associated documentation
  • attending site meetings and dealing with site queries alongside the project architects
  • liaising with clients and consultants, and working closely with the ZMA team

Skills and experience:

  • proficiency in using Vectorworks
  • working knowledge of specification writing – the use of NBS an advantage
  • good understanding of UK building regulations
  • knowledge of all RIBA stages, particularly four to six
  • experience of using Adobe suite – inc. InDesign and Photoshop an advantage
  • relevant qualification – CIAT
  • past experience of working on residential projects an advantage
  • over three to five-plus years’ relevant project experience in the UK
  • current eligibility to work in the UK and good written/spoken English
