BDP is seeking a marketing assistant to join its team in London, UK.

About the role

Contract: six-month month contract to permanent

BDP is an architecture, engineering and design practice with 19 studios across the world. We are looking for a dynamic marketing assistant to strengthen our central team to drive forward our global marketing and business development strategy.

This role would suit someone with up to three years marketing communications experience or equally, a graduate with some level of relevant work experience. This is a broad and varied role that gives the ideal candidate the opportunity to learn and develop their knowledge and
skills across the full marketing communications mix within a global context.

Whilst this will begin as a six-month contract role, the position will become permanent for the right person.

Key responsibilities:

  • to support senior managers in the team with a variety of marketing communications activities, including events, advertising, brochures, leaflets, sponsorship, direct marketing and multi-channel campaigns
  • to be involved in growing our social media presence by creating engaging content, managing our social media platform, Loomly and exploring other channels and ideas that will enable us to build brand awareness
  • to work with our PR manager to coordinate media lists, manage website news articles and monthly PR coverage reporting
  • to work closely with our internal communications manager to produce content on company initiatives, including activities relating to BDP Belonging, BDP Mind and BDP Lab forums
  • to learn how to optimise our CRM platform, Zoho, to support email campaigns, events and business development activities
  • to be responsible for maintaining our business development collateral, which includes project sheets, brochures and company bid information
  • to liaise with all our studios to assist with the implementation of initiatives requested by the business

Essential qualifications, experience and skills:

  • 2.1 degree
  • excellent verbal and copywriting skills
  • ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • analytical and data orientated
  • an aptitude for technology systems and processes
  • team player – enjoys working with colleagues to achieve business goals
  • has strong influencing and collaboration skills to gain buy-in to marketing initiatives
  • highly organised with attention to detail
