About us:

Trevor Lahiff Architects is a small, busy, creative RIBA chartered multidisciplinary design practice with a varied portfolio of high-end residential projects in both architecture and interior design located in London, the UK and abroad.

About the role:

We are seeking a proactive RIBA Part III with a minimum of 2 years’ experience with plenty of on-site experience in residential or Part II with at least 3 years UK experience to join our award-winning practice on a full-time basis. The position will provide an excellent opportunity for career development and experience as an integral part of the design team.

The successful applicant will play a vital role in all stages of projects, from concept design through to delivery on current and future projects within the office. Potential candidates should have a positive attitude, be well organised and able to manage deadlines and workloads efficiently. Proven experience of project coordination, managing and delivering projects on site is essential.

About you – qualifications, qualities and experience:

  • Part 3 with a minimum two years’ experience in the UK working on high quality projects as a project architect
  • Part 2 architects must have a minimum of three years’ working in the UK
  • progress projects through all RIBA work stages, often involving listed historic buildings
  • have comprehensive knowledge and enthusiasm for both contemporary and classical detailing and technique
  • in depth knowledge of UK building legislation, relevant design guides and standards
  • extensive coordination experience with clients, contractors, and consultants
  • excellent AutoCAD and Sketch UP with outstanding design and technical capabilities
  • ability to prepare drawing packages for planning through to tender and construction stages
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • good knowledge of contract administration and procurement
  • experience of specification writing required – NBS preferred
  • previous client facing experience
  • friendly and personable

Interviews will take place immediately, with a view to starting the role as soon as possible.

Positions offered are on a full-time contract with a three-month probation period
