Sheehan Nagle Hartray Associates is looking for a BIM manager to join its London office.

This is a unique opportunity for a passionate BIM manager to lead a BIM team and develop and define processes and practice standards.

We are looking for a dynamic individual who can work with our talented architects developing BIM protocols and standards and defining the SNHA BIM environment. The candidate should have a drive for innovation and technological advancement, they should be a multi-tasker who can handle a fast-paced environment, while maintaining an emphasis on detail and quality.

The BIM manager will oversee and manage the coordination of the technical hub in the BIM process from project kick-off to the final close-out of a project, facilitating the coordination efforts among the entire project design team.

BIM management responsibilities:

  • working closely with other discipline BIM leads, who are responsible for producing project information models
  • ensuring that BIM execution plans and ancillary documents are produced and maintained for all projects
  • supporting and auditing projects
  • training colleagues
  • provide strategic input and directions to IT on the procurement of the correct hardware and software in order to keep technology solutions effective
  • keep up-to-date with the latest advancements in building technology
  • driving the implementation of digital solutions and strategies on projects to help efficient project delivery
  • leading meetings to identify project tasks and resolve issues
  • feeding into the oversight of projects BIM fee expenditure, workload and pipeline of work
  • supporting the career development, coaching and mentoring of team members
  • adhering to the latest industry standards and best practice

Competencies:

  • leadership skills
  • well-developed communication skills – strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to write and edit documentation, both internal and external
  • being a team-player: flexible and open-minded

Skillsets:

  • advanced proficiency in Autodesk suites, including software such as Revit, Navisworks/Solibri, CAD.
  • proficiency in Microsoft operating suite, Teams, SharePoint and PowerBI
  • proficiency in Revit plugins, such as Ideate, PyRevit, Guardian, Avail, BIM Track
  • proficiency in Clash detection (running, reporting, resolution)

The position is open to UK-based applicants or applicants with rights to work in UK.

The candidate should have prior experience working in the architecture, engineering or construction industry and should demonstrate excellent technical capability, plus possess great interpersonal and communication skills.
