Charlotte Kingsnorth is hiring a maker/artist assistant to join its team in London.
Charlotte Kingsnorth is a design studio that makes objects, furniture art works and installations for private and public collections worldwide.
This is a hardworking and playful studio looking for a positive and dedicated person to join the team. The job role will be making focused, mainly foam sculpting, hand sewing and pattern cutting but will also include some wood and metal work, fabric research and errands.
Looking for someone who has trained in fashion, upholstery or has good hands-on making experience, who can think creatively to solve problems, learn Charlotte’s approach quickly while also bringing in their own knowledge and skills, organised and punctual and looking for full time, long term work (very sadly replacing our lovely Joe!).
Please only apply if you are experienced using fabric, both machine and hand sewing, and pattern cutting.
Must have the following skills:
- hand sewing
- general workshop machinery skills
Ideally has:
- machine sewing
- pattern making
Would be great if:
- 3D Rhino skills
- holds a UK driving license
- cycle (helps with errands)
