Senior interior designer (F&B/Leisure/Hospitality)

Anamo Design Studio is looking for a strong senior interior designer to join its F&B/hospitality team in London.
The successful candidate will be a highly talented designer who will work on very exciting UK and international bar, restaurant and leisure projects. The team delivers high-end, unique F&B and hospitality interior fit-out projects, working on the feasibility, concept and delivery of projects with varying scales and budgets.
We are looking for a creative, friendly with a very positive can-do attitude, enthusiastic and passionate senior interior designer. They will play a key leading role within the hospitality interiors team, as the practice is expanding in this sector. Willingness to grow, learn and develop will be key for this role.
Candidates should have degree level qualifications in design and over six years’ experience of leading and running high end F&B/hospitality projects in the UK. Whilst the successful candidate would be supported by the creative director, they must be able to manage a varying workload across multiple projects and work in collaboration with different team members to meet client deadlines. This role is challenging but exciting, offering a good amount of responsibility, so problem solving and leadership skills are a must, as well as a natural drive to inspire the rest of the team. Communication is key and the role requires fluent spoken and written English.
Key responsibilities:
- act as lead designer and running large hospitality and leisure projects from concept to completion in the UK and internationally
- put together design proposals for project pitching
- create outstanding mood boards and 2D and 3D design presentations, ensuring the design meets the client’s brief and overall project budget
- lead site meetings and internal meetings with clients, suppliers and contractors
- compile highly detailed working drawings/technical tender packs (AutoCAD plans, elevations, joinery details) and specifications (finishes and furniture) with the support of the project team
- direct and edit the team’s CAD and 3D sketch modelling work
- order and collate samples for projects, create unique finishes boards
- oversee and guide the junior and mid-weight designers in the team
- contribute to the development of the hospitality interiors team within the practice
- work closely with the project team and report to the creative director
Skills and experience:
- a degree in interior design or interior architecture
- six to 10 years’ experience of successful leading and running high end F&B/hospitality projects in the UK
- extensive hospitality design portfolio, both highly creative and technically strong
- strong construction, fabrication and ‘on site’ knowledge and experience specifically in the F&B sector
- impeccable AutoCAD skills
- excellent knowledge of Photoshop, InDesign, PowerPoint and SketchUp
- great knowledge of FF&E sourcing and negotiation skills to secure the best possible price, terms and value for clients
- in-depth understanding of the project programme and keeping those required up to date at all times
- very strong communication and presentation skills
- fantastic conceptual abilities and freehand drawing skills
- proven ability to develop unique bar, restaurant and leisure concepts
- extremely well organised and focused, able to manage their own workload as well as the design team’s workload
- have a full understanding of project processes from concept, design development through to site implementation
- knowledge of and ability to undertake on-going research of furniture, products, finishes and materials
- working knowledge of building regulations, British Standards and other relevant statutory legislation
