Assael Architecture is seeking a HR manager to join its team in London.

Award-winning multi-disciplinary practice Assael Architecture is looking for an HR manager to join the Assael Team.

In this stand alone role you will provide a full HR remit for a great team of people. In addition to the operational role you will have the scope to be strategic and carry out project work.

We are looking for a self starter, who will bring their HR experience and help us ensure that Assael continues to be a great place to work.

Summary of main responsibilities:

  • to provide advice and assistance to the directors on HR best practice, policies, procedures and employment legislation
  • to provide support and consultation on employee relations issues and work with the directors to manage issues as they arise in a timely, professional manner
  • to review and update HR policies and procedures, the employee handbook, contracts and intranet
  • to oversee recruitment and ensure job descriptions and roles matrices are updated
  • to manage and distribute all HR correspondence for the full employee lifecycle
  • to manage all employee files
  • to manage company inductions, work experience students and apprentices
  • to manage StaffCircle and coordinate appraisals and associated outcomes
  • to oversee and coordinate training including CPDs, technical and management training
  • to assist with on BCorps Certification process and provide people information for external surveys and client bids
  • to manage the process for sponsorship of overseas workers
  • to lead on diversity and inclusion and wellbeing initiatives

Candidates must have the following qualifications, experience and skills:

  • experience as HR manager at both a strategic and operational level
  • CIPD qualification (preferred)
  • experience of coaching others in business
  • excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain positive working relationships
  • excellent attention to detail and ability to problem solve
  • able to lead discussion, listen and negotiate positive outcomes for all stakeholders
  • adaptable and flexible
  • competent user of Microsoft Office, HRIS
  • good working knowledge of UK employment law
  • current knowledge of diversity and inclusion and wellbeing best practice
